You can reach a place called Kudukkimetta, about 13 km from Kannur via the Kannur-Mysore road. From there, if you travel about 1 km along the Mayyil road heading north, you will find this temple in Puravoor village on the west side of the road.
This temple, filled with devotional devotion along with the presence of nature, is a spiritual refuge for many devotees.

History of the temple
In ancient times, the Puravoor area was a Brahmin sanctuary. During that time, several temples existed here. The most important of them was the Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple.
This temple was under the care of twelve Illakas at that time.
Over time, due to social changes and the passage of time, many Brahmin families left the country. The houses and temples gradually deteriorated. The temples were buried under the ground.
Afterwards, only a mound of earth, the remains of some wells, and a thicket of bushes remained. This area later came to be known as Molothumkadu.
Re-imagining of the temple
Devotees gathered together to find out the historical truths of the temple and conducted a gold ceremony (Devaprasnam) on October 6, 1984.

After that, the devotees and youths removed the bushes in the Molothum forest and began the evening chanting of the name.
Discovery of idols
Through Devaprasn, it was discovered that the presence of Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy, Ganapati, Vanasasthav, and Bhadrakali is present here.
It was predicted that the idols would be found in the nearby money well.
Idols found while cleaning the well:
